Pets Welcome
We’re excited to announce that BeHeard is teaming up with Creoks to operate a temporary winter shelter in Tulsa this season.
This 24/7 trauma-informed, low-barrier shelter will initially offer 60 beds, expanding to 100+ beds, and during extreme weather, we can serve up to 250 guests.
Over the past few years, we’ve lost several unhoused friends who used our summer services but didn’t make it through the winter. The nearest shower and shelter from our Admiral location is a 4–5 hour walk, in the snow. This shelter will help to change that. Now, guests will have a warm, safe space and access to life-saving support.
About Creoks:
CREOKS Health Services is a non-profit organization providing comprehensive health, wellness, and social services. Our behavioral health division offers more than 40 years of quality services and program that benefit adult, adolescents, and children. We currently have 24 locations across Eastern Oklahoma and one in Mountain View Arkansas. CREOKS’ reputation has allowed us to work with local agencies, schools, and civic organizations.
Our caring and professional staff provide outpatient behavioral health services in our clinics, in-home and through school-based programs to facilitate recovery and healthy family lives. We help individuals needing brief counseling, substance abuse treatment or those struggling with behavioral issues. We’re committed to the individual and strives to provide compassion and respect to our clients and their families. Taking time to listen and properly assess client needs enables CREOKS to provide workable and successful solutions.
Day Services (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Guests will have access to:
- Showers, laundry, and restrooms
- Mail services and phone charging stations
- Clothing, hygiene items, and warm indoor space
- Breakfast and lunch
- Art classes and daily activities
- Haircuts, resources, and case management supportWith Creoks’ partnership, guests will also have access to:
- Case managers, therapists, and supportive service staff
- Housing referrals and mental health resources
Night Shelter (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Guests will be able to have their own bed.

Dinner will be provided
This year, our Tulsa programs have served individuals ages 3 to 77 — and this shelter ensures no one is left out in the cold.
Dogs are welcome — they’re family too!
Volunteer Opportunities
We’re seeking volunteers for 2-hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
Volunteers can help with:
- Sorting clothing and supplies
- Serving meals or snacks
- Playing games and engaging with guests
- Assisting with showers, laundry, and hospitality
Churches, organizations, and businesses are invited to adopt a day each month to serve or provide meals.
Donations
Donations can be dropped off daily from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
