Stories

BeHeard Movement’s journey began with a simple camera and a profound vision: to amplify the voices and stories of youth experiencing homelessness. Our aim was to humanize the issue and create empathy within our community.

Check out the compelling documentaries we’ve produced that shed light on the realities of homelessness. These stories serve as powerful testaments to the strength, resilience, and spirit of those who’ve faced adversity.

While we’ve shifted our primary focus to providing direct services, our commitment to storytelling remains unwavering. We’re currently working on more documentary episodes that capture the transformative impact of our work.

In the early days of BeHeard, we embarked on an inspiring journey with Tim, a former chef experiencing homelessness. Tim’s passion for cooking shone brightly, regardless of his circumstances. We produced a series called the “Homeless Cooking Show,” where Timshowcased his culinary skills, preparing delicious meals like fajitas. These moments of connection and shared meals were powerful reminders of the humanity that binds us all.

Stay tuned for our upcoming “Shower Side” podcast, where we’ll dive deeper into the stories, challenges, and triumphs of the individuals we serve. BeHeard Movement is more than just an organization; it’s a platform for sharing stories, fostering understanding, and sparking change. Join us in making a difference, one story at a time.

The Homeless cooking show was inspired by our friends on the streets, they work creatively to make meals to survive on. The show is committed to humanizing the stories of those experiencing homelessness through the expression of cooking.
