What’s Next at BeHeard Movement

We’re excited about the future and the opportunities to serve even more neighbors in need. Here’s what’s on the horizon:

1. OKC Expansion

Over the years, we’ve done several pop-ups in Oklahoma City, and every time, the response from the community, those we serve, churches, and local organizations has been incredible—they want us to stay! While expansion is never forced, we’re taking steps to establish a presence in OKC.

2. ADA Shower Trailer

Many of our guests have disabilities, and our current shower trailers are not ADA accessible. An ADA-compliant shower trailer would allow our guests to shower with dignity and safety.

3. Warehouse/Office Space

We’re grateful to a local church for providing office space, but we need a safe indoor location to store our trailers. During winter, we have to winterize our trailers for two months to prevent damage, leaving us unable to provide showers and laundry—even when emergency shelters reach out for help. A warehouse/office space would allow us to safely store trailers and continue serving year-round.  If you’d like to help, email us at [email protected].

4. OKC 2nd Mobile Drop-in Center

We’re excited to share that we have officially expanded to Oklahoma City! With increasing requests from organizations, churches, businesses, and our neighbors, it’s clear there’s a growing need to serve more areas across the city. Our goal is to have at least two mobile drop-in centers operating in OKC—and we’re already halfway there! Please email [email protected] if interested

5. Case Management Van

Another part of our vision is to launch a mobile case management van—about the size of an Amazon van—designed to meet people where they are. This van will be equipped with office space, Wi-Fi, A/C, heat, a printer, and a computer, allowing us to offer case management on the go. Whether it’s transporting guests to appointments or conducting intakes and assessments at outreach sites, under bridges, or in wooded areas, this van will bring dignity and support directly to our neighbors in need.

6. Safe Place Parking

Our long-term vision is to create a “Safe Place Parking” site—a dedicated, RV-style space where 50–70+ vehicles and trailers can safely park overnight or long-term while individuals and families work toward permanent housing. We don’t have an official name yet, but the purpose is clear: to offer a secure, fenced-in environment for our neighbors who are living in their vehicles and worried about tickets, towing, or simply not having a place to go.

This site will include a stationary laundry and shower trailer to meet basic hygiene needs. For those without a vehicle or trailer, our goal is to secure 20 donated trailers to provide a temporary place to stay. Like our mobile shower and laundry trailers, this space is a stepping stone toward stability, dignity, and hope.

7. Combo Trailer

We’re planning a combo trailer with 4 showers, 4 washers and dryers, outdoor sinks, and storage space. This trailer will allow us to serve other areas in Tulsa, including 61st and Peoria, Riverside, West Tulsa, and Downtown.

We’re excited about these next steps and the impact they’ll have on our neighbors. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, please reach out at [email protected]
