Volunteer Pathways
In-Person Volunteer Experience (What to Expect)
Serving in person with BeHeard can look like helping operate our mobile showers, assisting with laundry, supporting the clothing trailer, organizing donations and inventory, serving meals, providing haircuts, leading activities, or simply spending time building community with our guests.
There’s a place for you and your unique gifts here.
Most volunteer shifts are around two hours, and we’re happy to tailor scheduling to best fit your availability.
Key Volunteer Experience (What to Expect)
This is a special opportunity for those who love serving with BeHeard and can commit to one volunteer shift a month (about two hours). By serving consistently, you help build deeper relationships, stronger community, and greater impact.
Virtual Volunteer Experience (What to Expect)
Don’t live in Tulsa or OKC? No problem!
We’ve intentionally created the world’s first Virtual Volunteer Vending Machine so you can serve face-to-face with our unhoused neighbors through a screen, no matter where you are.
From anywhere in the country, you can help provide basic needs, food, and real human connection in real time.

Group Volunteer/Adopt a Day Experience
We love when groups serve with us whether it’s for an hour or the whole day! It’s a meaningful and fun way for your company, church, school, or friend group to adopt a day of outreach and serve together.
Groups can help with meals, showers, laundry, community time, and more. We’re also happy to tailor each experience from hosting an art class to leading a special activity your group is passionate about.
